Dr. Herman B. Ruiz

Living with pain can interfere with nearly every part of life. My goal is to help patients reduce pain, improve function, and get back to the activities that matter most to them. I believe effective care starts with careful listening, understanding each patient’s concerns, and building a treatment plan around their goals.

I am board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a specialty centered on improving function and quality of life. My practice includes the evaluation and non-surgical treatment of spine pain, complex pain conditions, muscle and joint disorders, and nervous system conditions. I completed my residency at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where I served as Chief Resident in PM&R and received spine procedural training from Professor of Neurosurgery John Shea. I remain actively involved in the field through membership in several professional organizations.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on house projects, and wrenching on classic cars.
