About Matthew

I was inspired to become a physical therapist after witnessing my grandparents’ recovery from a stroke, which sparked a lifelong commitment to helping people regain independence and improve their quality of life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology and Health Science from Alma College in 2014 and completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Central Michigan University in 2017. My clinical interests include geriatrics and providing high-quality rehabilitation services to rural communities, where access to care can be limited.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring Michigan’s natural beauty—usually with a camera in hand. You’ll often find me hiking, camping, or fishing across the state’s lakes and streams. These experiences remind me of the importance of mobility, strength, and healthy living, principles I am passionate about helping my patients achieve.

Favorite Treatment: Strengthening is my favorite focus in treatment, as it allows patients to see real progress in their mobility, independence, and overall function.
